Bill Anderson

William (“Bill”) Anderson is a founding partner and currently serves as Of Counsel to the firm.

Bill specializes in Intellectual Property law, including Patent, Trademark, Trade Secrets and Copyright law.  He’s a Patent Attorney licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is also licensed to practice law in Texas.  Additionally, he’s licensed as a Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.), is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), is a Certified Manager (CM), and is trained in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies. Bill has experience with patent applications, trademarks, copyrights, non-disclosure agreements, export control, and technology licensing.

Skilled in the mechanical and software arts, Bill is an aerospace engineer with an extensive background as a mechanical systems officer in NASA’s Mission Control.  He has participated in the design, development, and operation of software and hardware-controlled electro-mechanical devices, such as the docking system utilized on the Space Shuttle, International Space Station, and the Russian Mir Space Station.  He currently works as a systems engineer on NASA’s next human-rated space vehicle.  Bill managed a new technology system for a large aerospace corporation, encouraging and protecting employees’ ideas, innovations, and inventions.

Bill received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center, and his Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University.  He served as Chapter President for the United Space Alliance Leadership Association, as a Board Member of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association Houston Chapter, and on the Board of Directors of the Clear Lake Fencing Club. He also served as a company representative to the Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program (SATOP), leveraging free NASA collaboration for small companies and individual inventors.

Bill is married to his law partner, Tamara Anderson. Bill enjoys traveling, snow skiing, fencing, sci-fi, classic cars, and most of all:  raising his two wonderful kids.
